Kevin keeps hayle hot on Paul's tail

HAYLE are just one point behind league leaders Paul in County One after winning against Gorran at the Towans.

With a strong wind off the sea, a large crowd were to see quite a lot of good cricket played as fortunes swayed.

Paul Lello held a catch, off Martin Jenkin, sending back Tim Bray-Smith for 15 at 26-1.

Rob Hurrell was joined by Sharma who took the score to 70, but another wicket fellat 80-3.

In all Hayle used five bowlers, but the spirited visitors mustered a tidy 166-9 score after their 48 overs.

Hurrell top scored with 48 when he was removed by a Smitherham delivery after hitting five fours.

Mid-order batsman R Kendall was bowled by Lello for 30, then number 7 Rehann was run out for 20.

Wicket-keeper Greg Mungles stumped Tomlinson off Lello.

Lello, Smitherham and W Jenkin shared six wickets.
